Feliks Topolski

Along with Henry Moore and Graham Sutherland, Feliks Topolski participated in the British War Artists program and it was through this initiative that he came to the attention of Zika Ascher. Topolski’s fluid and satirical illustrative style was completely at odds with current trends in textiles. Topolski’s squares produced during wartime are printed on rayon as silk and wool were not available.
