Óscar Domínguez

Oscar Dominguez was part of group of Spanish artists in Paris that all collaborated on the Ascher squares project. This group included; Dominguez, Pedro Flores, Antoni Clave, Francisco Bores, and Emilo Grau-Sala. In 1947, Dominguez was close friends with Pablo Picasso and his influence can be seen in Dominguez’s work. In a letter to Zika Ascher, Dominguez describes an upcoming weekend with Picasso and Francois Gilot during which he plans to attempt to convince Picasso to design a scarf (He failed unfortunately).
