Sonia Delaunay

Sonia Delaunay did not participate in the initial Ascher Squares collaboration, however in 1950 she wrote to Zika Ascher interested in creating designs for textiles. Delaunay had risen to prominence for her innovative textile and dress designs in the 1920s. She would go on to create 4 different designs for Ascher that were printed as long chiffon scarves as well as piece goods for the fashion trade.
